Air France has said all 12 of its crew members have escaped the Mali hotel siege and are now “safe and sound”.
As a precaution, Air France flights from and to Bamako for Friday have been cancelled, it added.
The attackers are still said to be inside with a witness telling Reuters: “We’re hearing gunfire from time to time.”
At least three people have been killed as gunmen throwing grenades seized 170 hostages at a luxury hotel in the Mali capital, military officials said.
The attackers seized staff and guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako.
A Malian forces operation has freed some hostages, although more than 130 people are said to remain inside. CNN reports rescue mission is underway with assistance from US special forces.
