Today’s travel quote is borrowed from the wise collections of the Persian poet, Abū-Muhammad Muslih al-Dīn bin Abdallāh Shīrāzī, Saadi Shirazi, better known by his pen-name Saʿdī or simply Saadi.
The famous quote states thus, “A Traveler Without Observation Is A Bird Without Wings.”
The quote delves on the subject matter of travelers who fly miles, drive kilometers and trek meters without taking time to study, learn and digest the people, environment, custom, culture and tradition. Mr. Saadi likens such travelers as bird without wings… Whats a bird without wings?! Did i hear you say a sitting duck?
Guess i’ll be coining my own quote from Mr. Saadi’s… “A Traveler Without Observation Is A Sitting Duck“. 🙂
