Russia Rescinds Turkey Flight Ban

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has rescinded a ban on flights to Turkey after that country provided assurances of improved security measures at all its airports.

Istanbul Atatürk Airport is the main international airport serving Istanbul, and the biggest airport in Turkey by total number of passengers, destinations served and aircraft movements.

As a result of the embargo’s upliftment, Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) and Turkish Airlines(TK, Istanbul Atatürk) restarted scheduled flights between Russia and Turkey on Friday, July 22.
