People pull a Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400 weighing 210 tons during an attempt to break the world record in Hong Kong’s Airport March 17, 2011.

Total maximum weight is 875,000 pounds (about 437 tons or 400,000 kg), though it must burn off enough fuel during flight so that it ways less than 652,000 pounds (about 325 tons or 296,000 kg) for a safe landing.

The standard 747-400 Freighter can carry 124 tons (113,000 kg) of cargo up to 4,450 nautical miles (8,240 km).
