Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) GM of public affairs Yakubu Dati said the new international terminal at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport is due to be completed around the end of 2016, with 70% of structural work already completed.
The new terminal will increase capacity from 19 million to 24 million passengers yearly.
He also announced the agency’s plans for multi-storey car park at the airport will have spaces for more than 1500 vehicles. FAAN plans to construct the structure under a public private partnership. The facility will be located close to the planned new international terminal.
